About Our Providers


 Dr. Gerard Guillory, M.D.

Dr. Guillory is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has been practicing in Aurora, Colorado since 1985. Dr. Guillory provides integrative medical care for patients with digestive disorders, autoimmune disease, and other chronic or acute illnesses. Along with his team of nutritionists and nurse practitioners, he supports patients with natural therapies whenever possible.

Dr. Guillory has published 2 books on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and numerous contemporary articles on health related topics. He has a passion for teaching and has several clinical faculty appointments, including Rocky Vista University and The Regis University Nurse Practitioner Program. He has lectured extensively on the relationship between nutrition, digestive health, and disease.

Dr. Guillory earned his Medical Doctorate from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana, and completed his Internal Medicine training at Richland Memorial Hospital, affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Guillory is one of few medical doctors who can claim to have completed undergraduate and medical school in 6 years.


 

Debra D. Baldwin, NP-C, PhD

Debra D. Baldwin, NP-C, is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma, Texas Women’s University School of Nursing, and The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing. Debra has completed a PhD in occupational health nursing at UAB and has been awarded a NIOSH fellowship through the Deep South Center for Occupational Health and Safety. Her PhD dissertation was on blood pressure control and perceived stress in municipal workers.

Debra taught adult and occupational health nurse practitioner students at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for over ten years before moving to Aurora, Colorado in 2009. In addition to serving as a faculty member at the UAB School of Nursing, Debra provided health and wellness services and occupational illness/injury care to City of Birmingham employees which included fire fighters, police officers, and street and sanitation workers. She has also been an occupational health consultant to the U. S. Postal Service for the State of Alabama, has worked in the Burn & Trauma Unit and the Neurosurgery ICU at UAB Hospital, and in many of the ambulatory outpatient clinics at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX.


Jennifer Mooney, NP-C, MSN

Jennifer joined The Care Group with about 25 years experience in family medicine. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Master of Science  in nursing (MSN) in 1989 and is certified by the ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). Jennifer grew up in Colorado, but she’s lived, studied, and worked across the country before returning to the Front Range in 2008. She believes that becoming part of the The Care Group--an Integrative medical practice--is a tremendous opportunity to expand the kind of care that she enjoys providing.

Jennifer loves working collaboratively with her patients to maximize health and well-being. She provides preventive health services, as well as management of acute and chronic health issues and has developed expertise in bio-identical hormone replacement. Jennifer believes strongly that an individual's conscious participation in their own health care facilitates healing of mind, body, and spirit.  Like most who live in Colorado, she loves the sunshine and mountains—for hiking and skiing, and enjoys all that Denver and the front range has to offer.


 

 Emily Trede NP-C, MSN

Emily is a Colorado native and a graduate of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center School of Nursing.  She has a background in ICU nursing and as a nurse practitioner has worked in internal medicine, family practice, and integrative physical medicine.  

Emily is passionate about utilizing integrative therapies for health promotion whenever possible and strongly believes in a holistic practice that draws from both traditional and natural medicine.  She has a particular interest in nutrition, micronutrient replacement, and patient education as a foundation to improve well-being and believes that collaboration between the patient and the provider is key to the prevention of illness and disease.

Emily lives in Castle Rock with her husband and two sons and enjoys hiking, running, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.


 

 


Sheila Gannon, Functional Nutritionist

Sheila is Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition and a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. She earned her Master Nutrition Therapy certificate from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver.

Sheila has particular expertise in helping individuals with auto immune conditions and food sensitivities. Nutrition helped Sheila recover from her own health challenges, so she knows the importance of finding foods that leave you feeling nourished rather than deprived. Sheila enjoys sharing nutritiously delicious food ideas with patients, even with the most restricted diets. She also has nutrition tips for those who work long days, travel frequently, or juggle family responsibilities. Sheila can often be found out on her road bike, or in the kitchen, cooking for family and friends. She admittedly does not like mushrooms.

Danielle Schreiber, Functional Nutritionist

Danielle received her Master Nutrition Therapist training from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver. She is pursuing Board Certification in Holistic Nutrition through the National Association of Nutrition Professionals.

Danielle specializes in nutrition solutions for individuals with autoimmune disease. From of her own struggles with an autoimmune disease, she has discovered how food can either aggravate pain and inflammation or create energy and vitality. Now she brings the empowerment of healthy food to others seeking relief. Her creative food recommendations are inspired by her science-based education and continued learning through seminars, workshops, and collaboration with colleagues. Danielle fills her own cup by laughing and playing with her husband, dog, and 3 kids.


Denise DeRosier, Functional Nutritionist

Denise is Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition and a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. She earned her Master Nutrition Therapy certificate from the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver.

Denise has a passion for supporting individuals with cancer—before, during, and after treatment. After her mother’s surprising diagnosis of uterine cancer and 4 additional cancer diagnoses in her family within 18 months, Denise became aware of how critical yet challenging it is for cancer patients to nourish their bodies with food. Denise enjoys helping clients discover delicious tasting, healthy foods that strengthen the body through trying times. To replenish her own energy, Denise can be found on the Colorado trails with her beloved yellow Lab, Nala.
